Pasta Bolognese
Ingredients
- 250 g ground beef.
- 1 onion, chopped.
- 2-3 cloves of garlic, chopped.
- 1 bell pepper, any color.
- 1 jar tomato pasta sauce.
- 1 lb pasta, preferably penne, but any shape will work.
- ¼ cup Parmesan cheese.
- Pepper, red pepper flakes.
Directions
- Cook the pasta as directed on the box. Drain & set aside.
- Brown the ground beef in its own fat, breaking it up into small pieces
as it cooks.
- Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic and fry for a few minutes. Reduce
heat, then add the tomato sauce and allow to heat through for a few
minutes. Add some ground pepper to taste.
- Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and mix well. Add Parmesan and some
red pepper flakes to taste and mix. Serve with more Parmesan.
- For variety, you can also make this completely vegetarian. Just omit the
meat and fry the vegetables in a little oil.
